What is the Romans Road to salvation?

The Romans Road is a set of verses from Paul’s letter to the Romans, read in order, that lays out the gospel: everyone has sinned (Romans 3:23), sin earns death while God offers eternal life as a gift (Romans 6:23), Christ died for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8), and anyone who confesses Jesus as Lord and believes God raised Him from the dead will be saved (Romans 10:9, 10:13) — resulting in peace with God (Romans 5:1).

What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?

The gospel is the good news that God created and loves you, that sin separated all of us from Him, and that Jesus — God the Son — became human, lived a perfect life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again, defeating death. Salvation is not earned; it is a gift received by turning from sin and trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord.

I just became a Christian — what should I do next?

Five first steps: tell a Christian you trust, talk to God daily in your own words, read the Bible starting with the Gospel of John, find a Bible-believing church, and follow Jesus in baptism. Baptism does not save you — you are saved by grace through faith — but it is a joyful step of obedience picturing what has already happened in your heart.

Where should I start reading the Bible?

If you are new, start with the Gospel of John to see who Jesus is, then Mark for a fast-moving account of His life, Psalms for honest prayers, Proverbs for practical wisdom a chapter a day, and Romans for the gospel explained in depth. A simple daily rhythm helps: pray, read a short passage slowly, ask what it shows you about God and yourself, then talk to God about it.

How do I share my faith with someone?

You do not need to be an expert or win a debate — share what Jesus has done in your life, with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). Ask about their story and listen first, then tell your own in three parts: what life was like before Christ, how you came to trust Jesus, and what is different now. Offer to walk through the Romans Road together or simply share John 3:16. Invite rather than argue; the Holy Spirit changes hearts.

How do I pray?

Prayer is talking with God honestly, in your own words. A helpful pattern is A.C.T.S. — Adoration (praise God for who He is), Confession (agree with God about your sin and receive His forgiveness), Thanksgiving (thank Him for what He has done), and Supplication (bring your requests and the needs of others). When you do not know what to pray, pray the Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13, the pattern Jesus Himself gave.
